The Act applies to stone, gravel, sand, clay, lime, chalk, peat, topsoil and similar elements. Exploitation of mineral deposits on land and sea must be part of a sustainable development plan which purpose is to ensure monitoring of mining areas after extraction, raw material supply, ensure that raw materials used are quality based and that raw materials shall be, where possible, replaced by waste products.

These Regulations implement provisions of the Land Planning and Development (Guernsey) Law, 2005 in relation with appeals to the Planning Tribunal or to an adjudicator.

These Regulations prescribe the procedure to be followed for an inquiry to be conducted by an inspector into the provisions of a new or replacement Development Plan, Subject Plan, Local Planning Brief or for amendments thereto prepared by the Environment Department pursuant to the Land Planning and Development (Guernsey) Law, 2005 and the Land Planning and Development (Plans) Ordinance, 2007. They also make provision for the appointment and functions of the Inquiry Administration who shall assist the inspector with the administration of the inquiry and define powers of the inspector.

This Decision approves the master plan on the socio-economic development of Tuyen Quang province.The plan aims at developing Tuyen Quang into a province with a fast and sustainable economic growth and a protected eco-environment.The plan shall include: the development of agriculture, forestry and fishery; development of plant varieties; animal husbandry development; development of aquaculture; urban development; management of natural resources and environmental protection; and development of water supply infrastructures and wastewater drainage systems.

The enactments mentioned in Schedule 1 to this Act shall have effect subject to the amendments there specified (being amendments consequential on the re-enactment of provisions in the consolidation Acts). The transitional provisions, transitory provisions and savings contained in Schedule 2 to this Act shall have effect.

This Order makes saving, transitional and consequential provisions in relation to the substitution of a new Part 2 to the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (c. 8) by section 2 of the Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006.
