Invitation to submit to a special issue publication on "Land Perspectives: People, Tenure, Planning, Tools, Space, and Health”

Good land administration helps to secure property tenures. It also protects the land rights of people (including individuals, communities, and the state) through good governance principles and practices. Therefore, probing land administration practices—whether in developed or developing countries—is essential to developing tools or methods for securing natural resource rights for people, especially for the youth and women. A broad knowledge gap exists on the land/water/forest–people–health–wellbeing nexus of natural resource administration research and practice. This Special Issue will present insights into theories and practices in land administration in the context of the land/water/forest–people–health–wellbeing nexus.

We invite the submission of conceptual papers, case studies, field research papers, and review articles focusing on (but not limited to) the following themes: land administration, property sciences, urban, peri-urban and rural land/water/ forest administration, consequences of COVID-19 on land and the environment; land administration and women/ youth land rights, planning, urban–rural land linkages, responsible governance of tenure, societal transformations, and associated themes.

The Chief Guest Editor of this Special Issue is Prof Uchendu Eugene Chigbu, of the Department of Land and Property Sciences, Namibia University of Science and Technology, Namibia. He is also the Co-chair of the International Training and Research Cluster of the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN).
