The present Law lays down provisions relating to expropriation matters in Brandeburg The Law is applicable to expropriation of general property proceedings and related compensation payments in so far as the Federal Law is not applicable. Article 2 establishes that expropriation is admissible in the following cases: to carry out projects for which other Laws authorize expropriation; to carry out projects concerning the protection of soil, water, air, climate and the landscape, as well as projects concerning the public heating supply, waste disposal, building of pipelines to transport raw material or other products in great quantities or of hazardous nature, projects to protect forests and the tasks of agriculture including fisheries, as far as they serve the well-being of the community.
