The Environmental Policy Strategy is a national cross-sectoral strategy of Latvia for the period 2009-2015. Its main objective is to provide the public with the opportunity to live in a clean and well-arranged environment through sustainable development, preservation of environmental quality and biological diversity, sustainable use of natural resources, as well as participation of the public in the decision-making and its awareness of the environmental situation.

Le présent document de Stratégie de Relance de la Production Agricole-Plan d’Actions d’Urgence, Période 2008-2010 constitue un cadre de référence pour la mise en oeuvre des actions qui ont pour objectif d’améliorer la productivité agricole et le revenu des producteurs, d’assurer la sécurité alimentaire, ainsi que de faire de ces secteurs un vrai secteur qui contribue au développement économique du pays en luttant efficacement contre la pauvreté. These Regulations make provision for the selection, designation, registration and notification of sites to be protected under the Council Directive 92/43/EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora. These Regulations also implement aspects of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009. They make provision in respect of European sites for: (a) control of damaging operations caused by human activity; (b) special nature conservation orders and restoration orders; (c) byelaws of the appropriate nature conservation body; and (d) compulsory acquisition.

These Guidelines are of guidance to institutions for yearly planning in water resources management.
