This Chapter of the Florida Statutes provides for soil and water conservation. Its policy objective is to promote the appropriate and efficient use of soil and water resources, protect water quality, prevent floodwater and sediment damage, preserve wildlife, protect public lands, and protect and promote the health, safety, and general welfare of the people of this state. The Chapter creates soil and water conservation districts.

Le Plan d’action du Haut Commissariat aux Eaux et Forêts et à la Lutte Contre la Désertification (HCEFLCD) s’inscrit dans le cadre d’un programme décennal (2005-2014) qui consacre la multifonctionnalité des écosystèmes forestiers et vise (i) la lutte contre la désertification, (ii) la conservation et le développement des ressources forestières et (iii) le développement humain dans les espaces forestiers et péri-forestiers.

Spécifiquement, à court et moyen termes, elle vise à conserver, restaurer et valoriser la biodiversité et les sols; diversifier les systèmes d’exploitation; satisfaire les besoins domestiques et accroitre les revenus à travers la promotion d’activités génératrices de revenus ; et améliorer/installer les infrastructures sociales de base.

Le Programme d'action national de lutte contre la désertification fixe des modalités d’articulation entre les actions et différents programmes sectoriels mis en œuvre dans le cadre de la lutte contre la désertification et dégager les moyens nécessaires et supplémentaires afin de soutenir la mise en œuvre de ces actions par la recherche d’une synergie et d’une harmonisation que doit induire le processus du PAN.

This Complementary Law, consisting of 42 articles divided into seven Chapters, establishes the Planning and Territorial Planning System of the State of Roraima. The above mentioned System, called SPOT/RR, is the main guiding instrument for planning of land occupation and control of the use of natural resources of the territory of the State of Roraima, in the implementation of plans, programmes, projects, works and public and private activities. The purpose of the SPOT/RR is to implement the provisions of art.

The overall objective of the present national cross-sectoral Forest Policy is to achieve sustainable forest management that would ensure sustainable increases in the economic, social and environmental benefits from forests and trees for the present and future generation including the poor and the vulnerable groups.

According to article 91a, paragraph 1, of the German Constitution (Grundgesetz) measures on the improvement of production methods, working conditions, management and in general in the agricultural, fishery, forestry and water sector shall be taken with the agreement of regional governments. For this purpose a common frame work is devised and every year within the 1 March the Länder submit a general working plan to the Federal Minister for Nutrition, Agriculture and Forestry for approvement within the said frame work. The Act consists of 14 articles.
