Strata Titles Registration Act (Cap. 56:52).

This Act provides for the registration of strata titles, i.e. title in strata lots in accordance with a strata plan. The Registrar of Titles shall keep a register of strata plans and shall record therein particulars of all strata plans lodged in his office for registration pursuant to the Act. The Act also provides for the management of the common property by a corporation to be formed, upon registration, by proprietors of strata lots included in a strata plan. It also, among other things, provides with respect to easements and sets out the requirements of a strata plan.

The Act principally concerns the registration of interests in land. This Act shall apply to: (a) registration of interests in all public land as declared by Article 62 of the Constitution; (b) registration of interests in all private land as declared by Article 64 of the Constitution; and (c) registration and recording of community interests in land.The National Land Commission in consultation with national and county governments may, by order in the Gazette, constitute an area or areas of land to be a land registration unit and may at any time vary the limits of any such units.

The present Ordinance implements various articles of the Building Law of 28 April 1985. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to land use planning in the Canton Appenzell Innerrhoden. Land Registration Act (Cap. 107).

This Act provides rules for the registration of rights in land in the Seychelles. There shall be a Land Registry and an (appointed) Land Registrar. The Act also concerns the effect of registration, conversion of qualified title into absolute title, co-ownership and partition of land, registration of rights held by foreigners and the form of transfer of various rights in lands. The provisions of this Act shall apply to usufructuary interests in the same manner as they apply to leases.

This Act establishes the Environment and Land Use Appeal Tribunal, defines its composition and its jurisdiction and provides rules relative to proceedings before the Tribunal. The Tribunal shall hear and determine appeals under section 54 of the Environment Protection Act, under section 7B of the Morcellement Act and under sections 7 and 25 of the Town and Country Planning Act.

The present Law implements the Federal Act on acquisition of land by persons abroad of 16 December 1983.. Article 1 establishes that the acquisition of land shall be authorized if this serves as principal residence.
