The Act provides for the validation as per the 6th September 1978of Acts previously promulgated and for some minor text amendments.

Amends: Urban Development Authority Law. (1979)

This Law institutes a system of land taxation which shall apply to all landowners, land users, including lessees and landed proprietors. Land tax revenues shall be used to pursue the objectives of rational use of lands, land-use planning, improvement of land quality, conservation and social development. Tax rates are determined according to quality and location of land plots. Appendices 1 and 2 specify land tax rates for agricultural and urban lands respectively. No taxes will be charged on lands contaminated by radioactive materials, or on lands subject to agricultural use restrictions.

Section 8L on Remission of rates has been added and the amendment included in Section 2 shall enter into force as per the 12th November 1979.

Amends: Urban Councils Ordinance. (1979)

Part IIA has been added right after Part II of the principal enactment and it contains provisions for the planning procedures, the institution of a Planning Committee, functions and tasks. Other minor amendments have been inserted in the text of other Sections, dealing mostly in definition of powers of Authority, offences and penalties and other administrative issues. A new Schedule has been added too.

The Government decrees to supplement the Ministerial Decree No.1223 of 1997 with the following paragraph: "State Committee on Housing and Construction Policy and State Committee on Land Resources and Land Survey must at the earliest possible date elaborate and validate methodical documentation for the calculation of the normative size of the plots of land within condominiums".

Deputy chief of the State Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Complex orders to validate the Instructions. The present Instructions contains directions as regards the modalities of carrying out state control over the use and protection of land in urban and countryside settlements, including temporary settlements and inconstant structure of the population concerning issues assigned to the competence of the institutions of architecture, urban construction and the State architectural and construction survey.

This Council of Ministers Resolution establishes the Urbanization Plan of the Industrial area of Pinhal da Rebela-Várzea in the Municipality of Felgueiras. The Resolution consists of 4 chapters regulating land settlement, soil use and transformation according with the environmental protection national policy.

This Council of Minister Resolution approves the Regional Management Plan of the Territory of Lisbon (PROTAML). It establishes all the sectors involved with the management of the mentioned urban area and specifies the baselines for the urban planning, as well as territorial, forestry and protected areas management, etc.

Implements: Decree-Law No. 380/99 establishing the territorial management regime. (1999-09-22)

The Government, for the purpose of securing and transfer of the plots of urban land and the plots of land of other settlements on conditions of ownership, possession, lease of natural and legal persons, as well as for the purpose of their registration, taxation and transaction, decrees to validate the Regulation and to recommend the bodies of the local self-government to set up in case of necessity special commissions for the determination of the boundaries of land tenure. The Regulation is aimed at the solution of the following problems: 1).

The Government decrees to validate the list of amendments and addenda inserted into Ministerial Decrees regarding urban construction and land tenure. Federal Executive Bodies must conform their normative legal acts to the present Ministerial Decree.

This Resolution of Council of Ministers establishes the National Programme for the Land Planning Policy (PNPOT). It consists of 17 articles dealing with the requirements to be satisfied in order to regulate the expansion of urban areas (in particular Lisbon and Porto) and protect the environment.
