This Act provides for the management and protection of forest resources in Northern Ireland. It, among other things, specifies functions and powers of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, provides for the protection of trees from damage and provides for restrictions on the felling of trees.The Department shall promote forestry on a wider footing than the traditional primary role of developing afforestation, the supply of timber, and the maintenance of reserves of growing trees.

This Act defines various offences of larcency including larcency of cattle, larcency of wills and documents of title to land, and larcency and damaging of trees and cultivations. The Act also determines punishment for such offences and provide with respect to prosecution.

This Act prohibits the unlawful trespass upon private land and in particular on cultivated and forest lands. the Act also grants certain powers to the owner of a land upon which an unlawful trespass has taken place and grants certain powers to enforcement officers.

This Notice of the President of South Africa, made pursuant to section 235(8) of the Constitution, assigns the administration of the Mountain Catchment Areas Act, excluding certain functions that fall outside the functional areas specified in Schedule 6 to the Constitution, to a competent authority, to be designated by the Premier of the province concerned, within the jurisdiction of the government of a province mentioned in section 124 of the Constitution. The Notice defines the extend of the assignment (the whole Act except section 8(2) and amend the Act as specified in the Schedule.

These Regulations, made by the Minister of Forestry under section 13 of the Mountain Catchment Areas Act, implements provisions of that Act in respect of: the constitution and composition of Fire Protection Committees; the election of members of advisory committees for Mountain Catchment Areas; applications for financial aid; declaration of private land as Mountain Catchment Area and relative procedures; directions to owners of land in a Mountain Catchment Area; and applications for compensation of patrimonial loss.

This Act makes provision for the conservation, use, management and control of land situated in mountain catchment areas. "Mountain catchment area" means any area declared by the Minister or competent authorities of provinces under section 2 to be a mountain catchment area.

These Rules, which apply in relation to England and Wales, set out the written representations procedure or oral hearing procedure to be followed in respect of an application for a necessary wayleave or a reference for an order for the felling or lopping of trees or shrubs. The Secretary of State has power to grant a necessary wayleave to enable an electricity company to install and keep installed an electric line on, under or over any land in accordance with paragraph 6(1) of Schedule 4 to the Electricity Act 1989.

This Act makes provision with respect to conservation of the forest, soil, water and other natural resources of Grenada. The Minister shall establish and maintain a Forestry Department within his or her Ministry, appoint forestry officers and generally promote the interests of forestry. The Forestry Department shall, for the purpose of implementing forest policy, plant, manage and use land vested in it or put at its disposal by the Minister.

This Act provides for town and country planning at various levels of administration.The Act provides for the establishment of a National Physical Planning Council and of a State Planning Committee which shall promote, regulate, control and advise on, the use and development of all lands in the State. The Council may form time to time establish a regional planning committee.The State Director shall make a development plan based on the review of existing developments in the State.
