These Rules regulate the procedure to be followed in connection with local inquiries in Wales held by the National Assembly for Wales before it determines applications referred to it, or appeals made to it, on or after 1 June 2003 in relation to planning permission, listed building consent, consent for the demolition of unlisted buildings in conservation areas, tree preservation order consents or tree preservation enforcement notices.

This Order removes burdens on processors of, and those bodies substantially representative of growers of, home-grown sugar beet by repealing, in so far as it extends to England and Wales, section 68 of the Food Act 1984. Section 3 obliges inter alia the Secretary of State and the National Assembly for Wales, after consulting such processors and representative bodies, to prepare an annual programme for the carrying out of research and education in matters affecting the growing of home-grown beet.

The Governor may constitute Forest Reserves under section 4.A Notice in this respect shall be published in the Official Gazette. For each Reserve a Reserve Settlement Commissioner shall be appointed. Restrictions are placed on acquisition of rights during an interim period between publication and an Order constituting a Reserve under section 17. The Settlement Commission shall be considered a Court. The Commissioner may exclude land from a Reserve. Section 13 concerns compensation and section 14 concerns extinction of rights.

This Act declares areas along the coast known as Pas Geometrique to be public domain and makes provision for the survey of lands in such kind of land areas, the grant of leases, rights of lessees, and prohibits dumping on Pas Geometriques. The Minister may grant leases of Pas Geometriques or annexes. The granting shall take place by private contract or public auction. A clause, which imposes the planting of trees on the lessee, shall be included in every lease contract. Cutting of trees on Pas Geometriques requires permission by the Minister and shall be included in the lease contract.

La presente Resolución aprueba el Programa de Acción Nacional de Lucha contra la Desertificación y Mitigación de los efectos de la Sequía (PAN), en el marco de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas de lucha contra la desertificación en los países afectados por sequía grave o desertificación, en particular en África, aprobada el 26 de septiembre de 1996. Además, se dispone la creación de la Comisión Asesora del Programa de Acción Nacional de Lucha contra la Desertificación y Mitigación de los Efectos de la Sequía.

Preferential tax rates, exemption and reduction shall not apply to incomes deriving from land use and land rent rights as per Section VI.

The present Regulation provides guidelines to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry on planning afforestation activities: (i) Preparation of afforestation projects; (ii) Selection of areas for afforestation; (iii) Organizing forest - social community relations; and (iv) Preparation of annual programs and location distribution tables. One year prior to afforestation, all trees and shrubs that are classified as non-economic will be cleared from the area.

The Convention applies to the Carpathian region to be defined by the Conference of the Parties. Each Party may extend the application of this Convention and its Protocols to additional parts of its national territory by making a declaration to that effect. The Parties shall pursue a comprehensive policy and cooperate for the protection and sustainable development of the Carpathians with a view to inter alia improving quality of life, strengthening local economies and communities, and conservation of natural values and cultural heritage.

The Minister declares under section 21 of the Forest, Soil and Water Conservation Ordinance Protected Forests for purposes of protection against storms, winds, rolling stones, floods, landslides, prevention of soil erosion and the deposit of mud, stones, etc. on agricultural land, prevention of wastage of resources of timber and for securing the proper management of timber lands, the maintenance of water supplies in springs, rivers, canals and reservoirs, the protection of specified works, and the preservation of health.
