The present Regulations implement, for Scotland, changes made to Council Directive 85/337/EC, implemented by the 1998 Regulations, made by Council Directive 97/11/EC. They also implement the extension of both Directives to the Contracting Parties of the European Economic Area (EEA) under Article 74 and Annex XX paragraph I.1 of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as given effect by Decision No.20/1999 of the EEA Joint Committee adopted on 26th February 1999.

This Decision of the Prime Minister concerns so-called PAM forests, i.e. forests planted with the World Food Program aid capital. It outlines principles of management and use of such forests and lays down conditions for PAM forest owners. It also outlines rights and duties of Pam forest owners in specified regions and as regards certain forest areas. Forest owners shall be entitled to fully own PAM forests on land planted for production forests and protective forest in "less crucial" regions, and local protective forest within villages.

This Circular of the Department of Environment, Forests and Wildlife to Forest Secretaries of all States and other territories concerns the involvement of village communities and voluntary agencies for regeneration of degraded forest lands. The National Forest Policy envisages it as one of the essentials of forest management that the forest communities should be motivated to identify themselves with the development and protection of forests from which they derive benefits.

This Act and the regulations apply to all land within the boundaries of any forest reserves established pursuant to this Act. "Forest reserves" is all land described in the appendix to the agreement set forth in the Schedule to chapter 20 of the Statutes of Alberta, 1948, and to chapter 59 of the Statutes of Canada, 1947. All forest reserves within Alberta are set apart and established for the conservation of the forests and other vegetation in the forests and for the maintenance of conditions favourable to an optimum water supply.

This Act has 43 sections, and is divided as follows: Interpretation (sects. 1-3); Dedication and Purpose of Provincial Parks (sects. 4 and 5); Designation and Management of Provincial Parks (sects. 6-11); Park Lands Administration (sects. 12-22); Enforcement (sects. 23-26); General Provisions (sects. 27-35); and Consequential, Repeal and coming into Force (sects.

This Circular concerns the functioning and internal organization of State enterprises that have been allocated by the competent State bodies forests and forestry land for forest industry purposes and of business companies in which "dependent cost-accounting State forestry farms" participate. The second part of this Circular concerns the reorganization of State forestry farms so as to operate them in a more commercial manner. Part 3 concerns allocation of land and forests to State forestry farms.

This Act prohibits the use of pesticides on forestland and the treatment of single tree trunks, except for the control of a disease specified in section 1. Certain exceptions are allowed for scientific purposes and under control of the Forest Protection Council. Municipal councils may restrict use further in their respective territories. Specific provisions regarding registration of pesticides and their use shall be issued pursuant to section 5. Other provisions deal with offences and appeal against decision of the Forest Protection Council. (7 sections)

This Provincial Act is divided into five Titles. The aims pursued are the protection of any kind of land falling within the provincial territory, giving particular regard to forests, mountain grasslands and pastures, in order to ensure their conservation and productivity and to guarantee their rational and sustainable use.

This Decree lays down provisions for implementing Provincial Act No. 21 of 21 October 1996 relative to the forestry sector. The Decree is divided into three Titles and contains two Annexes. Title I regulates the hydrogeological and forest bonds referred to in article 3 of Provincial Act No. 21 of 1996. Article 2 concerns its removal under certain circumstances. Title II lays down particular provisions for bound lands. Part I of Title II regulates the transformation of forests. Article 4 gives the definition of forest.

These Rules regulate the procedure to be followed in connection with local inquiries in Wales held by a person appointed by the National Assembly for Wales to determine appeals made to it in relation to planning permission, listed building consent, consent for the demolition of unlisted buildings in conservation areas, tree preservation order consent and tree preservation enforcement notices.
