This Order shall be applicable to contractors performing topographic, geodetic and cartographic work for the purpose of designing topographic, geodetic and cartographic products and data collection. The aforesaid contractors shall be equipped with geodetic satellite devices, digital video cameras and aerial photographic devices, and high definition scanners. Topographic, geodetic and cartographic work shall be performed in strict compliance with the acting legislation.

This Law regulates the issues originating in the process of performance of metrological activity. It shall be applicable to regulated activities with a view of ensuring uniformity of measurement. This Law shall be applicable to the following fields: (a) protection of human life and health; (b) food quality control and food safety; (c) supervision over the state of environment; and (d) topographic, cartographic, hydrometeorological and land survey practices.

La presente Resolución establece los lineamientos y adopta la metodología para que los municipios y distritos recojan y suministren la información para conformar el inventario nacional de asentamientos localizados en zonas de alto riesgo por deslizamientos e inundaciones.

El presente Decreto tiene por objeto establecer las condiciones y escalas de detalle para incorporar de manera gradual la gestión del riesgo en la revisión de los contenidos de mediano y largo plazo de los planes de ordenamiento territorial municipal y distrital o en la expedición de un nuevo plan.

According to this Decree an organization, appointed by the land survey and GIS public administration authority (Institute of Land Survey and Remote Sensing – FÖMI) together with the minister of defense, shall establish, maintain and provide data from digital remote sensing databases using information already available and to be collected afterwards.

This Decree provides rules regarding the transfer, replacement and elimination of trigonometrical stations, inspection on the field, maintenance work, central control of the application of rules by county land offices, technical requirements of transfer and replacement of stations, downgrading of benchmarks, register of reference points, land survey signs of the national boundary. According to this Decree the competent authority in this matter is the Institute of Land Survey and Remote Sensing (FÖMI).

This Law regulates relations concerning management of common property of condominiums, including common ownership of land on which are located residential facilities. Encumbrance (mortgage) of common property, including common land property shall be authorized and regulated by Civil Code. Establishment and modification of mapping of the boundaries of common land property shall be regulated by acting legislation.

Article 1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Topographic exploration shall be intended special survey and mapping for projecting, construction, reconstruction, renovation, rebuilding and operation of sites”.

La presente Ley tiene por objeto crear el marco institucional necesario a fin de satisfacer las necesidades de los organismos e instituciones del Estado, del ámbito científico, educacional y técnico, así como del sector privado, relativo a contar con los datos geoespaciales necesarios para una adecuada planificación del desarrollo socioeconómico, la explotación de los recursos naturales, la protección del ambiente y la seguridad del país.

La presente Ley modifica la que tiene por objeto organizar y redefinir las funciones, atribuciones y ámbito de competencia del Instituto Nicaragüense de Estudios Territoriales (INTER), respecto a la integración de la Dirección Superior y a las atribuciones del Secretario General.

Article 19 shall be amended to add the following wording: “If general boundaries of a plot of land displayed on cadastre or geometric plan does not correspond to effective land ownership (pedis possession) and in the absence of act of land boundary establishment at land owner’s request and at the expense of local government establishes boundaries of land plot on site”.

These Regulations amend the Land Survey Regulations in regulations 6, 19 and 20 in relation land survey systems. It also inserts a provision in regulation 19 which requires all components of a compiled consolidation diagram to be based on the National Reference Framework. The Surveyor-General may relax this requirement in exceptional circumstances.
