This Ordinance aims at controlling the standards of land boundary surveys for land subdivision.The Ordinance establishes a Land Survey Authority which shall be responsible for checking the quality of land boundary plans submitted by Authorized Land Surveyors and maintain a record of these plans for reference by other land surveyors. It has also appointed a Land Surveyors Registration Committee.

The present Regulations provide for the enactment of the Land Surveys Act, 2000. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the submission of survey plans for approval. All plans of survey to be submitted to the Controller or the Chief Surveyor for approval must be prepared in accordance with section 10 and subsection 12(1) of the Land Surveys Regulations.

Regulation No. GZK-1-T.O.-04-01-01 of the Federal Land Cadastre Service on legalization of cadastre map of land plots.

This Regulation establishes the modalities of the issuance of extract from state land cadastre in the form of cadastre map land plot. The purpose of the aforesaid cadastre map shall be to establish the boundaries of land plots on location and for graphic representation (mapping) of newly formed parts of land plots. Annex 1 contains the form of cadastre map.

This Regulation establishes the modalities of inventory of previously registered land plots, maps and location of land plots. The list of previously registered land plots shall include: (a) land plots with assigned cadastre numbers; and (b) land plots without cadastre numbers. For the purpose of the identification of land plots subject to insertion in the inventory list of cadastre district shall be consulted and analysed the following documents: (a) land register; (b) register of cadastre numbers; and (c) list of payers of land tax and rent.

This Order establishes subdivision of the territory of the Russian Federation into 89 cadastre districts assigns numbers thereto and validates cadastre mapping of the national territory. It also entitles the Federal Land Cadastre Service with the task of keeping state land cadastre of cadastre districts.

This Order establishes that calculation of land area in condominiums and the establishment of boundaries thereof shall be carried out for the purpose of land use planning, establishment of land shares in common property, efficient use of urban land , taxation and state registration of immovable property. Land area in condominiums shall be ascertained in the process of elaboration and mapping of the boundaries of condominium in accordance with land use planning documentation. The Order contains calculation formula.

This Decree establishes the modalities of demarcation, restoration and determination of the boundaries of land plots and legalization thereof. It shall be compulsory for land tenants, landowners, lessees and organizations and individual entrepreneurs carrying out land survey practices. This Decree establishes the modalities of delimitation of administrative and territorial boundaries, including mapping, calculation of the perimeter of boundaries, calculation of area of administrative and territorial units, and legalization of the boundaries. In the process of mapping the following boundaries shall be established: (a) administrative and territorial units (urban and rural areas); and (b) areas with special land tenure (protected areas, national parks, biosphere reserves, territories of cultural heritage).

Section 2 establishes the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia as a corporation without share capital and consists of a board of directors appointed under this Act. The purposes of the Authority are to: a) manage, operate and maintain the land title and survey systems of British Columbia; b) facilitate the execution of Crown grants, and c) carry on other necessary or advisable activities related to land title or survey systems.
