This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of organization and carrying out supervision over land use planning with a view of ensuring compliance of organizations and citizens with legislative provisions regulating land use planning, and also with technical requirements set for land use planning. Federal Registration Agency of Immovable Property and its territorial bodies shall carry out the aforesaid supervision in the form of scheduled and unscheduled inspections.

The present Law lays down provisions relating to land expropriation in the Canton of Schwyz. In particular, article 1 establishes that every land owner has the duty to cede to the Canton or local authorities land, buildings and trees if the need arises for the following purposes: the remaking and enlargement of new streets; the remaking of river banks and brooks; for the building of new churches; the exploitation of material used for building of streets; the erection of new water conducts and fountains.
