The present Regulation is made under the Land Titles Act, 2015. In particular, the Regulation provides for the correct and efficient enforcement of the aforementioned Act. Section 1 establishes that a Yukon First Nation is eligible to apply to bring its settlement land under the Act and have a certificate of title issued for that land if its final agreement or selfgovernment agreement provides that the Act applies to its settlement land registered in the land titles office. The text – consisting of 6 sections – deals with the following aspects: application to bring settlement under the Act, certificate of title, approving authority, re-issuing certificates of title, subsidiary certificates of title.
