An Act to provide for a comprehensive system of land registration and other dealings in land based on a cadastral survey, for the noting of charges and incumbrances in or over such land and for matters incidental thereto or connected therewith.

This Act makes provision for the registration of land and related matters. It also defines certain rights relating to land and the effect of registration. The Act establishes a land register, which shall comprise a register in respect of every parcel which has been adjudicated in accordance with the Land Adjudication Act, 1978 and a register of leases required to be registered by this Act. Various provisions concern leases of registered land and charges on land. Other provisions concern, among other things, easements, co-proprietorship and partition, representation and acquisition of land by prescription.
