The present Ordinance implements articles 10 and 11 of the Soil Protection Law (LGBl. 80/2001). The purpose of the Ordinance is to regulate the use of sewage sludge in agriculture in such a way as to prevent harmful effects on s oil, vegetation, animals and man, thereby encouraging the correct use of such sewage sludge. The text – consisting of 10 articles – deals with the following issues: purpose and sphere of application, definition of terms, ban on the use of sewage sludge and materials containing sewage sludge, exceptional authorization of the use of sewage sludge, registration of sewage sludge and entry into force. The text consists of 10 articles.
