This Ministerial Decree designates the State Committee on Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and State Land Cadastre as the state administrative body subordinated to the Cabinet of Ministers, and shall be responsible for: (a) implementing state policy on land resource management, soil fertility improvement and land surveys and monitoring; (b) state supervision over the rational use and protection of land; (c) geodetic and cartographic activities; (d) state geodetic supervision; and (e) keeping the state land cadastre. The State Committee shall carry out the following functions: (a) coordinate state administration and natural and legal persons in the areas of land tenure, soil improvement and conservation; (b) mapping, research and distant zoning of the Earth; (c) keeping of land cadastre; and (d) perform state registration of immovable property.
