The state supervision over land use and land protection shall have as its purpose to ensure the observance of land legislation by landowners and land tenants with a view of more efficient land use and land protection. The state supervision shall be carried out by the local self-government and land use planning organizations. Land use planning organizations shall carry out the state supervision over: (a) purposeful use of the plots of land; (b) timely and qualitative land reclamation arrangements; (c) recultivation of land; (d) land use planning projects for the use of agricultural land and soil conservation; (e) observance of land cadastre and land monitoring rules and regulations; (f) timely restitution of land allotted for provisional land tenancy; (g) timely examination of applications for the allotment of land for farming; and (h) installation and conservation of landmarks.
