Currently the most common methods in forestry mapping includes digital photogrammetry, positioning points system using Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), or a combination of polar method using universal surveying stations. Due to the fact the forest environment its specific conditions – cover stand, complex terrain in many cases the use of these methods in forestry surveying practice to some extent limited. The research of this work is the application of a combination of conventional terrestrial mapping methods (GNSS regionalization methods of intersection) using available simple surveying equipment (Leica Disto D5, MapStar Compass Module II, Impulse 200 LR) in determining especially points on the edge of stands and under a blanket of forest stand wall, where it is not possible to identify all the points on aerial photographs and determine their by photogrammetric or directly using GNSS.
