The Law ratifies the institution of the Tea Small Holdings Development Authorities, its function and tasks as per the development of the small holdings, , the acquisition of lands and facilities for the tea factories, the promotion of sales and the marketing activities.

This Act transfers real estate undertakings from the Caroni (1975) Limited and Orange Grove National Company Limited, both wholly owned state enterprises, to the State. The Minister may, by Order, transfer to or vest in the Sugar Manufacturing Company ("Company"), all or any part of the operational undertakings necessary for the Company to undertake the sugar cane processing and sugar refining business conducted by Caroni and not already leased to or forming part of lands leased to or otherwise vested in the Company.

The Council of Ministers decrees to entitle State Committee on Land Reform and its territorial subdivisions in accordance with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Forest Ministry and other ministries and departments concerned to provide for carrying out land survey, mapping and other provisions in relation to allotment to the citizens of the plots of land for gardening, truck-farming and stockbreeding purposes.

This Proclamation aims at improving management and utilization of land and land resources for agricultural purposes in the Southern Nations, Nationalities And Peoples' Regional State. It applies to all land that lies outside of municipal borders. The Proclamation defines the right to acquire, free of charge, rural land by peasants, pastoralists and semi-pastoralists engaged in agriculture and the equal rights of women with respect to land and provides for the protection of such rights.

The Premier decrees that beginning from 1 January 2016 allotment of land plots for farming and expropriation thereof shall be performed by decision of local government in accordance with the opinions expressed by territorial councils of farmers and commissions for examination of applications for allotment of land plots for farming.

The scope of this Act is to protect and develop cultivation of arable lands with specific regard to requirements of environment protection and to safeguard and enhance profitable farming.Agricultural properties shall be subject to conditions of farming as specified in the present Act (sect. 2). Agricultural properties shall be real property registered as such in the register ("matrikle"). The Minister of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries may undertake the classification of agricultural land for purposes of registration and use (sect. 3a).

The Order sets regulations on manure use with the purpose of establishing standard animal keeping compounds and storage of such biomass. In Chapter 2 it sets regulations on the establishment of facilities, as well as extensions and modifications thereof for animal husbandry; these shall not be authorized if causing pollution. Stables and similar enclosures for animals shall be designed so that contamination of groundwater and surface water does not occur. They must have floors constructed of durable materials which are impermeable to moisture.

This Regional Law lists categories of citizens that shall have the right of allotment of plots of public or municipal land free of charge within the boundaries of urban areas. The aforesaid plots of land can be allotted to peasant farms for agricultural purposes and farming. Horticulture and gardening. Maximum land area that can be allotted to peasant farm shall be 40 ha, minimum land area shall be 1 ha.
