IPC-IG

The IPC-IG is a global forum for South-South dialogue on innovative development policies guided by a partnership agreement between United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Government of Brazil, represented by the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management (MPOG).  The IPC-IG’s mandate is to promote the production and dissemination of studies and policy recommendations, the exchange of best practices in development initiatives and the expansion of South–South cooperation.

Development Experience Clearinghouse, USAID

USAID's Development Experience Clearinghouse (DEC), the largest online resource for USAID-funded technical and project materials, makes nearly 200,000 items available for review or download, and continuously grows with more than 1000 items added each month. 

The DEC holds USAID's institutional memory, spanning over 50 years; including documents, images, video and audio materials. The DEC collects research reports, evaluations and assessments, contract information, tutorials, policy and planning documents, activity information sheets, and training materials.

Led by Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, Shri. Kasturbhai Lalbhai and proactively supported by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Dr. Jivraj Mehta, a group of enlightened individuals set up IIMA. This group ably wove together a coalition of five actors - the governments at the centre and the state, the local industrialists, the Ford Foundation and the Harvard Business School, in a true spirit of public private partnership to establish the Institute.

Land Degradation & Development is an international journal which seeks to promote rational study of the recognition monitoring control and rehabilitation of degradation in terrestrial environments. The journal focuses on: what land degradation is; what causes land degradation; the impacts of land degradation the scale of land degradation; the history current status or future trends of land degradation; avoidance mitigation and control of land degradation; remedial actions to rehabilitate or restore degraded land; sustainable land management.

The Women’s Major Group was created at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1992, where governments recognized Women as one of the nine important groups in society to achieve sustainable development. Since 1992, the Women’s Major Group has been recognized by the United Nations in the UN processes on Sustainable Development and since 1996 in the processes of the United Nations Environment Program.


National Land Rights Forum - Nepal

NLRF

NLRF is a national people’s organization uniting those who are deprived of their land rights – bonded laborers, tenants, the landless, farmers, haruwa, charuwa and trust land farmers – and inciting them to action. Since its establishment in 2004, NLRF has been working towards its vision of a society where all tenants and landless farmers live dignified lives. NLRF operates in 50 of Nepal’s 75 districts, comprising 42 district-level and 2,072 village-level people’s organizations.
