MTT Agrifood Research Finland is leading research institute developing sustainability and competitiveness of the food system.
We conduct research within five research areas which utilize the expertise of the entire organization.
Operating under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, MTT employs around 750 people at 14 locations across Finland. Our head office is situated at Jokioinen, a 1.5-hour drive from Helsinki.
In 2013 our expenditure totalled approximately EUR 59,5 million, of which 57 % was budget financing.

Learning from REDD+: a response to Fletcher et al.
Although REDD+ is approaching its 10th anniversary, major impacts in terms of reduced forest loss are hard to document.
