Forest science in support to international negotiation on climate change and its local consequences. This article gives an analysis of the major scientific questions underlying the decision making process dealing with forest monitoring under the topic land use, land use change and forestry as a driving force for climate change. It first gives the major scientific findings used as guidelines for political decisions since 1988.

A literature review about the farmland accumulation and the farmland market problem in Marxian economics was performed. Analysis of farmland accumulation and the farmland market has been conducted by relating to agricultural capitalization. In other words, research was advanced as a differentiation of the farmer class theory, and competition between the large-scale farm and small-scale farm has attracted attention.

The article shows results of compiling recommendation land use maps for land use and land resources management of the university experimental farm “Velykosnitynske”. Large-scale GIS mapping of experimental farms allows to improve land use and decision making, prepare recommendations to solve land management issues, planning of technology processes and efficient crop growing technology. Compiled recommendation maps are aimed to assist in rational land use planning and sustainable development of the territory.

On the basis of introducing the status quo of land use in Luan County, the existing problems in the process of land use are analyzed as follows. First, the farmland is the majority, the area of garden land and forests is small and the farmland quality degenerates; second, the scale of construction use land is large, but me intensification level is low; third, reserve resources are scanty and the pressure of protecting farmlandmounts.

Surface ruptures associated with the 2014 Kamishiro fault earthquake (Mj 6.7), appeared along the Itoigawa-Shizuoka Tectonic line active fault system in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, central Japan. We photographed it with digital cameras mounted on an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Digital surface models (DSMs) were generated from the acquired photographs by applying SfM-MVS technology. The UAVs used in this study were the F450 and Phantom 2 manufactured by DJI Inc., and the cameras were the GR model manufactured by RICOH Inc. and were attached to each UAV for aerial photography.

The forms and dynamics of soil phosphorus can be greatly affected by land use changes, which often involve changes in vegetation cover, biomass production and nutrient cycling in the ecosystem. Present research evaluates the impact of land use change on the amount of total organic and inorganic P, labile, moderately labile and nonlabile P pools in semiarid soils of central Zagros.

This work was carried ou to indicate the available areas for legal reserve maintenance aiming to provide a basis for discussing the issue of extending legal reserve areas in the Brazilian Amazonia.
