This Act provides for the acquisition of land for the purpose of creating or enlarging national parks. The Act also authorizes the Lieutenant Governor in Council to transfer to the Government of Canada lands acquired under this Act.

Article 2 of this Order brings specified provisions of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 into force and article 3 of this Order makes a transitional provision and the savings specified in Schedule 2 to this Order for the purposes of the transitional provisions contained in the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (Commencement No. 4 and Consequential and Transitional Provisions)(Wales) Order 2005.

Part 6 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 establishes a new system of local development plans ("LDPs") in Wales. These Regulations make provision for the operation of that system. The Regulations prescribe the form and content of LDPs (to be prepared by local planning authorities ("LPAs")) (Part 3 of these Regulations) and make provision for the procedure to be followed in their preparation (Part 4 of these Regulations). This Order brings the remaining provisions of Part 6 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 into force on 15 October 2005, namely sections 61, 64 to 71, 74 and 76 (in so far as it is not already in force), with the exception of the regulation-making provisions within those sections, which will come into force on 5 October 2005.

Article 1 and 2 shall read:” Article 1 (1) The territorial planning shall continually and comprehensively design the spatial arrangement and the functional use of a territory, define its principles, propose material and time coordination of activities influencing the environment, ecological stability, cultural and historical values of a territory, territorial development and landscape creation in compliance with principles of sustainable development.

This Law, composed of four articles, amends article 4 of Law No. 6766 of 19 December 1979, which adopted provisions related to urban land subdivision. In particular, the Law amends provisions concerning building restrictions in areas bordering highways and railways.

This Decree, composed of 40 articles divided into seven Chapters, implements Act No. 7.661 establishing National Planning for Coastal Zone Management (PNGC). In particular, it adopts measures related to the use and occupation of the coastal areas and defines criteria for the management of the maritime coast.

This Resolution, composed of one article and one Annex, approves the National Land Policy. In particular, it identifies the national priorities, and provides a classification of land use for agricultural, industrial and mining purposes. Moreover, it defines an implementation strategy and requires for significant changes in the current basic legislation on land. Particular attention is devoted to the institution of a national land cadastre, as well as on tourism development and public works and infrastructures.
