Coastal Protection and Management Regulation 2017.

This Regulation, consisting of 16 sections divided into four Parts and completed by four Schedules, implements the Coastal Protection and Management Act 1995. It approves coastal zone map—Act, s 18C. For section 18C of the Act, the Coastal zone map for Queensland, certified by the chief executive on 3 October 2011, is approved as the coastal zone map. The exact location of the boundary of the coastal zone shown on the map is held in digital electronic form by the department.

These Regulations amend the Natural Resources Conservation (Permits and Licences) Regulations 1996 by replacing regulation 3 relating to a grant of a permit to undertake an enterprise, construction or development of a prescribed description or category and by inserting new regulations (7A-D) on the grant of a renewal of a permit. Amendment are also made to the Fist Schedule (Forms) and regulation 24 and Schedule 2 (fees).

These Regulations amend the European Communities (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Agriculture) Regulations 2011 in various provisions relating to, among other things, application for a screening decision, documents that shall accompany the application, the follow-up on a decisions by the Minister and information for the environmental impact statement. The Regulations also give a new definition of "EIA Directive", “environmental impact assessment” and “EIS”.
