The present Ordinance implements the Directive 2001/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 June 2001 on the assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment. In particular, the present Law completes the Federal Land Use Planning Act of 22 December 2008 (BGBl. I p. 2986). The text consists of 19 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Town and country planning (2); Safeguard and implementation of land use planning (3); Organization (4); Transitional and final provisions (5).

Ordinance on the establishment of the Regional Soil Research Office.

Article 1 establishes the Hessen Soil Research Office. The tasks of the Office are, inter alia, as follows: soil research, geological examination of the soil for construction purposes, completion and issue of geological maps, search for mineral deposits, hydro-geological research and groundwater observation service, advising regional and municipal authorities on related subject matters, cooperation with other geological institutes of the other German Länder and with German Universities and geological institutes abroad.

In particular, the Law establishes the competent authorities responsible for the enforcement of the above-mentioned Federal Act. This Act makes provision for the planning of public space in the Netherlands at various levels of the administration and to regulate permission for specified constructions and destination of private property.The Act requires various types and policies (including a national planning) to be adopted taking into account environmental impact assessment reports. Destination plans and project plans shall be submitted, if relevant, to Water Boards.The Act does not apply to state waterworks.

These Regulations amend the Environmental Impact Assessment (Scotland) Regulations 1999. They introduce new regulations on, among other things: procedural requirements regarding environmental information that a planning authority or the Scottish Ministers must take into account before granting an application for multi-stage consent. “Application for multi-stage consent” means an application for approval of reserved matters as defined by section 59 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997.

This Act makes provision for the adoption of planning instruments in Scotland such as the National Planning Framework, strategic development planning and local development plans. Provisions of this Act also concern, among other things: planning permission in respect of operation of marine fish farm, National Scenic Areas, development in national parks, consultation with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Tree Preservation Orders and the carrying out of an environmental assessment.
