We carry out hard-hitting investigations, expose these abuses, and campaign for change.  We are independent, not-for-profit, and work with partners around the world in our fight for justice.

Rwanda Environment Management Authority

REMA

REMA is non-sectorial institution mandated to facilitate coordination and oversight of the implementation of national environmental policy and the subsequent legislation.

REMA has a key role to play towards the achievement of the national goal of sustainable development as set in out in the National Developement Vision 2020.

Rwanda Natural Resources Authority

RNRA

RNRAs is an authority that leads the management of promotion of natural resources which is composed of land, water, forests, mines and geology. It shall be entrusted with supervision, monitoring and to ensure the implementation of issues relating to the promotion and protection of natural resources in programs and activities of all national institutions. Particularly, RNRA is responsible for:

1° implementing national policies, laws, strategies, regulations and government resolutions in matters relating to the promotion and protection of natural resources;

COPORWA

COPORWA (Communauté des Potiers du Rwanda = Rwandese Community of Potters) is a non-profit-making and non-political organization that works for the promotion and defence of the potters’ rights in Rwanda. COPORWA carries out its activities all over Rwanda, which is a country of East Africa. Its total area is 26.388 km2 and it is inhabited by about 11.000.000 people. The demographic growth of the country is approximately 2,8% every year. The potters make, with roughly 25.000-30.000 habitants, less than 1% of the whole population.

Natural Resources Wales

Natural Resources Wales is the largest Welsh Government Sponsored Body - employing 1,900 staff across Wales with a budget of £180 million. We were formed in April 2013, largely taking over the functions of the Countryside Council for Wales, Forestry Commission Wales and the Environment Agency in Wales, as well as certain Welsh Government functions.

Kachin Development Networking Group

KDNG

KDNG is a network of Kachin civil society groups and development organizations inside Kachin State and abroad. It was in September 2004.


KDNG promotes the formation of a healthy civil society based on equality and justice for local people. It works to document the military government's exploitation of natural resources, collecting information large scale development including mining, mono crop plantation and hydropower.


SHWE Gas Movement

SHWE

The SHWE Gas Movement is concerned with a natural gas pipeline project presently unfolding in Western Burma.

In cooperation with Burma's military junta, a consortium of Indian and Korean corporations are currently exploring gas fields off the coast of Arakan State in Western Burma. Discovered in December 2003, these fields--labeled A-1, or "Shwe" (the Burmese word for gold)--are expected to hold one of the largest gas yields in Southeast Asia. These Shwe fields are destined to become the Burmese military government's largest single source of foreign income.

Equitable Cambodia

Equitable Cambodia was formed out of the localization of the international solidarity organization Bridges Across Borders Cambodia (BABC) and was registered as a Cambodian national non-governmental organization in March 2012.
