The Ninth Development Plan is a national plan with a sectoral approach covering the period 2007–2013. The main objectives of the Plan are: a) increasing competitiveness, b) increasing employment, c) strengthening human development and social solidarity, d) ensuring regional development, e) increasing quality and effectiveness in public services. The Plan also aims at protecting the environment and improving urban infrastructure, making agricultural structures more efficient and promoting the development of rural areas.Food security is among the specific objectives of the Plan.

The Strategy for the Development of the Forestry and Pastures Sector in Albania is a national strategy with a sectoral approach, whose objectives are: a) protection of forests, pastures and biodiversity; b) encouragement and maintenance of the sustainable management of forests and pastures; c) consolidation of linkages with the market economy; d) involvement of local stakeholders and users in the development of the forestry sector; e) institutional and legal reform of the forestry sector at national and local level.

Le Programme d’Action National de Lutte contre la Désertification (PAN) a pour but d’identifier les facteurs qui contribuent à la désertification et les mesures concrètes à prendre pour lutter contre la désertification et atténuer les effets de la sécheresse.

En virtud de esta Resolución se ordena a la Dirección General de Control de la Calidad Ambiental y de los Recursos Naturales realizar un monitoreo de las áreas de reserva legal de bosques en propiedades rurales de más de veinte hectáreas en todo el teritorio nacional. Asimismo, se dispone que en todo proyecto que se desarolle en propiedades rurales de más de 20 hectáreas la misma Dirección debe determinar si el proponente del proyecto cumple con la obligación de mantener el 25 por ciento del área de bosque natural.

Por la presente Ley se introducen algunas modificaciones a la Ley Nº 398 de 2004, mediante la cual se declaró como política pública del Gobierno de Puerto Rico el desarrollo agrícola, la preservación y protección de los terrenos comprendidos en la Reserva Agrícola de Vega Baja.

Por la presente Ley se declara como política pública del Gobierno del Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico el desarrollo agrícola, la preservación y protección de los terrenos comprometidos con la Reserva Agrícola de Vega Baja localizada en el Municipio de Vega Baja. Dichos terrenos forman parte del Corredor Agro-Ecológico y son considerados de alto valor agrícola.
