تأجير الأراضي الزراعية

تدعم الغابات والأشجار الزراعة المستدامة. فهي تثبّت التربة والمناخ وتنظّم تدفق المياه وتؤمّن الظلّ والمأوى وتوفر موئلاً للملقحات والحيوانات المفترسة الطبيعية للآفات الزراعية. وهي تساهم أيضاً في تحقيق الأمن الغذائي لمئات ملايين الأشخاص الذين تشكل بالنسبة إليهم مصادر هامة للأغذية والطاقة والدخل. ومع ذلك، لا تزال الزراعة تشكّل الدافع الرئيسي للتصحّر في العالم وغالباً ما تكون السياسات الزراعية والحرجية والمتعلقة بالأراضي مخالفة لها.

Este documento se enmarca dentro de la consulta global de las Directrices Voluntarias y su proceso de desarrollo y es una aportación para la preparación posterior de la Guía Técnica de Género. En él se contextualiza y se define el concepto de género en las Directrices Voluntarias, se trata el significado de gobernanza de tenencia desde la perspectiva de género y se identifican y analizan los temas y aspectos claves.

Over the past two decades, perspectives on the role of the forest for society have evolved and broadened dramatically; the relatively narrow official view of the forest as primarily a source of wood and a form of protection for upland water resources has been seriously questioned and sometimes even violently opposed in favour of an approach that reflects a wider range of present and future opportunities and demands from forests and forest resources.

Hoskins sets out the actual and potential contributions of forestry to food security, and suggests practical strategies for the incorporation of food security components in forestry development activities.

La version française de l'Outil d'apprentissage sur les mesures d’atténuation appropriées au niveau national (MAAN) dans le secteur agriculture, foresterie et autres affectations des terres (AFAT) se compose d'une série de diapositives en cinq modules pour l'étude indépendante. L'outil examine les voies pour l'identification des MAAN (c’est-à-dire évaluations rapides ou approfondies) et la hiérarchisation des options différentes pour la réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre (GES).

FAO has initiated a series of global and regional sector outlook studies to examine linkages between forests and societies and to indicate emerging opportunities and challenges. The Forestry Outlook Study for West and Central Asia (FOWECA) has considered these issues through an extended consultative process in 23 different national contexts in West and Central Asia.
