Popular Science Press (a.k.a. China Science and Technology Press) was established in 1956. It is a comprehensive and large-scale publishing house about science and technology inChina. The press is under guidance ofChina’s Association for Science and Technology with a long history.
Popular Science Press publishes many kinds of popular science and technology books each year. The main aims of the press is developing the spirit of science, popularizing the knowledge of science, spreading the thought and method of science, revealing the achievements of development of science and technology, improving public literacy of science, as well as making the progress of science and technology. With the history of over 50 years, Popular Science Press published over 40,000 titles of popular science and technological books with different kinds of subjects. The total number of selling books reaches more than four billion copies, and 1,200 titles are published each year.
