This Act provides for the town and country planning at national, district and local level. It sets forth the provisions to prepare, approve and a deposit a plan and establishes an administrative framework for development planning. The Act also provides for development control and enforcement. It consists of 99 sections divide into 10 Parts.The Act establishes the Physical Planning Council and the Physical Planners Board. There shall also be a Commissioner for Physical Planning.

This Act amends the Land Utilization Act in section 2 in the definition of "Minister" and by insderting a definition of "Authority" (i.e. he Land Subdivision and Utilization Authority established under section 9). Section 9 is repealed and replaced. That section provides for membership of the Land Subdivision and Utilization Authority. Section 8, concerning evidence, for purposes of land registration, that a subdivision had been approved by the Minister is also amended.

Withdrawal from Disposal of Certain Tracts of Territorial Lands in Nunavut (Kivalliq area) Order (SI/2016-29).

The present Order is made under the Territorial Lands Act. In particular, the purpose of this Order is to withdraw from disposal certain tracts of territorial lands in order to facilitate the conclusion of Aboriginal land agreements. In particular, section 2 establishes that the tracts of territorial lands set out in the Schedule, including the surface and subsurface rights to the lands, are withdrawn from disposal for a period of three years beginning on the day on which this Order is made. The text consists of 5 sections and 1 Schedule.

This new Provincial Lands Act aims to modernize the legislative framework and provide better environmental. In particular, the Act provides for better protection for Crown land by investing the government with the ability to respond and take action when land is being misused, such as issuing immediate stop work orders. Furthermore, the framework for the Ministry of Agriculture Crown leases shall be used as security; and the time period of certain long-term leases where significant investments are possible, such as wind power development shall be increased.

This Decree puts into effect the "Land Code" of the RSFSR. In the meantime the legislation of the RSFSR is applicable within the limits that it doesn't contradict the "Land Code" of the RSFSR. The "Land Code" is applicable to offences committed after its validation except for the offences liable to the articles 47-51 that are applicable after the validation of the Law of the RSFSR regarding land charges.
