Modern training for land use planning industry of Russia and Belarus

Conference Papers & Reports
December, 2015
Russia
Latvia
Belarus

In modern conditions to train highly qualified personnel for the land continues to be relevant, it is important to the improvement of training programs in land use planning activities. The purpose of research: identifying opportunities for further cooperation in the field of higher education, orienting for a "double degree" callable in land use planning activities. A similar approach is being tested in two universities: the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus are taken into account long-term achievement of the two sister faculties.

Amphotericin B induces glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor in the rat brain

Journal Articles & Books

Japan

Amphotericin B (AmB) is a polyene antifungal drug and is reported to be one of a few reagents having therapeutic effects on prion diseases, that is, a delay in the appearance of clinical signs and prolongation of the survival time in an animal model. In prion diseases, glial cells have been suggested to play important roles; however, the therapeutic mechanism of AmB on prion diseases remains elusive. We have previously reported that AmB changed the expression of neurotrophic factors in microglia and astrocytes (Motoyoshi et al., 2008, Neurochem. Int.

Challenges and lessons learned from organizational actions by local governments for land use coordination in disaster affected rural areas of MiyagiCase of Suginoshita district and Yamamoto eastern district

Journal Articles & Books
March, 2017

This study explored local governments' efforts of land use coordination in the disaster affected rural areas of Miyagi, taking Suginoshita district and Yamamoto eastern district as a study area. Major challenges faced by the two districts are two folds. The first is the fact that multiple reconstruction projects have been implemented in parallel in one district, causing the issue of inter-program coordination.

Climate, population, and land use scenarios for climate change impacts and adaptation polices assessments in Japan (Second Edition)

Journal Articles & Books

Japan

The extent of climate change effects ranges widely. In order to make comprehensive assessments of the impacts of climate change and to formulate adaptation policies, interdisciplinary research must be implemented under common future assumptions (hereafter common scenarios). In this paper, a common scenario for Japan is proposed using the latest climate and population projections. We used the climate projection of four climate models and three radiative forcing scenarios of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5).

Study on Population Forecast Model in Planning of Land Use

China

On the basis of describing characteristics and condition of application of natural growth model of population, weighted average growth model, regression forecast model and GM(1,1)forecast model, taking Gushi County in Henan Province as an example, according to the statistics of population in Gushi County Statistical Yearbook from 1991 to 2007, we establish four models to conduct fitting on population change respectively, and meanwhile, we predict population size from 2008 to 2009 and conduct preciseness test on the population size.
