El presente Decreto establece las condiciones para el cálculo del índice de ocupación en las áreas de desarrollo restringido en suelo rural, que se calculará sobre el área resultante de descontar del área bruta del predio las áreas para la localización de la infraestructura para el sistema vial principal y de transporte, las redes primarias de servicios públicos, las áreas de conservación y protección de los recursos naturales y paisajísticos y demás afectaciones del predio.

This Act provides for the creation of a Commissioner on Resources and Environment responsible before the Cabinet (Executive Council) and who's role is fundamentally to advise on and develop a strategy for land use and related resource and environmental issues and on the need for legislation, policies and practices respecting these issues. The Commissioner also has coordination and monitoring duties and must take the interests of individuals, groups and Aboriginal peoples into account (sects. 3 and 4).

This Act makes provision for the appointment of the Director of Physical planning by then Governor-General, the constitution of the Town Planning Committee, grants powers to these institutions and the Minister in respect of town planning and provides rules relative to town planning. The Director shall be a technical adviser to the Minister and executive officer of the Committee. The Committee is granted powers to control town planning and construction in The Bahamas.

This Act empowers local authorities in England and Wales to include in their development plans policies that impose reasonable requirements regarding use for development of low-carbon energy and energy from renewable sources or meeting energy efficiency standards. Policies included by local authorities must not be inconsistent with relevant national policies (as defined).

These Regulations provide for the protection of trees. The Department of the Environment may make tree preservation orders. The Regulations prescribe the form of tree preservation orders in the Schedule and the procedure for their making, modification, confirmation and revocation. As a rule, the consent of the Department is required before any tree protected by the order may be cut down, topped, lopped, uprooted, damaged or destroyed. The Regulations also make special provision in relation to trees in conservation areas.

One of the main concerns of the Cape Verde national tourism policy is to equip the country with an infrastructure that will enable it to develop tourism while protecting the natural environment. This Decree institutes tourism zones in the island regions suitable for tourism, and establishes ways in which land may be appropriated, and the procedures for its assignment to tourism promoters. Tourism zones are of two kinds: full tourism development zones (ZDTI) and tourism reserve and protection zones (ZRPT).

Forestry and National Park Estate Act 1998.

Certain lands being at the time state forests are transferred to national park estate and Aboriginal ownership. The lands described in Schedule 3 that are within State forests are set apart as, or as part of, flora reserves under the Forestry Act 1916. Forest agreements may be made under Part 2 with respect to particular regions of the State. A forest agreement may only be made in respect of a region that has been the subject of a regional forest assessment carried out by or on behalf of the Resource and Conservation Assessment Council.
