This Resolution, consisting of 6 articles and 1 Table, establishes Special Plan requirements for Land Planning within the Province of Tete. It specifies Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment of the Zambesi Valley and part of its Basin, in particular applies for the following districts: Guro, Tambara, Chemba, Caia, Marromeu, Morrumbala, Mopeia and Chinde. This Resolution also establishes patterns and conditions for natural resources and areas use with special and different characteristics.

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of conservation, management and state protection of the objects of cultural heritage. Scientific research and conservation of the objects of cultural heritage shall be carried out by state cultural institutions and by licensed natural and legal persons. Classification of objects as cultural heritage shall be performed by the Regional Council of People’s Deputies within a year from the date of submittal of application for classification of objects as cultural heritage.

This Law makes provision with respect to registration of title in land and effects of registration and provides for a wide variety of matters regarding specific title in land such as leases, charges, transfers, co-ownership and partition, trusts and transmission on death.The Law establishes a Land Register and requires the Governor to appoint a Land Registrar, the functions and powers of which are defined by this Law. The Land Register shall consist of a register of parcels adjudicated under the Land Adjudication Law and a register of each lease required by the Law to be registered.

Regional Law No. 94/2005-OZ “On objects of cultural heritage”.

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of conservation, promotion and state protection of the objects of cultural heritage. It establishes in areas adjacent to the objects of cultural heritage the following protection zones shall be set: (a) protection zone; (b) zone of restricted economic activities; and (c) zone of protected landscape. Restriction on movement of motor vehicles shall be imposed in the area of location of the objects of cultural heritage and within protection zones.

El presente Reglamento establece los requisitos legales de visado de planos para la construcción de edificaciones en la Zona Marítimo Terrestre. El concesionario podrá construir tierra adentro de la línea de mojones que demarca el límite de la zona pública de la zona marítimo terrestre conforme al plan regulador.

Agricultural Contracts Act (Cap. 63:50).

This Act provides rules relative to the making, registration, validity and effects of agricultural contracts. An “agricultural contract” means an agreement whereby a contractor is let into possession of a parcel of land by the owner for the purpose of bringing such parcel of land into cultivation or for the bona fide purpose of extending the cultivation on the land, in accordance with the terms of such agreement, and includes all contracts whether registered or unregistered, but shall not include any agreement relating to the cultivation of sugarcane.

This Law approves the National Directive for Territorial Planning (DNOT). This Directive, consisting of 4 Sections, specifies the basic legislation for territorial planning and its management, as established by Legislative Decree No. 1/2006. The Directive is an instrument for the National territorial management, which establishes the legal spatial framework and defines the great options for the socio-economic development of the National territory.

Decision No. 139 dated 22.2.2012 supplementing Council of Ministers Decision No. 502 dated 13.7.2011 approving the uniform regulation on the control of territory development.

Decision No. 139 of 2012 supplements the Council of Ministers’ Decision No. 502 of 2011 on the uniform regulations regarding the control of the territory development. The supplements add several requirements in the application for construction permits and amend their applicable deadlines.
