Esta guía sobre Tenencia de la tierra y desarrollo rural ha sido preparada para que el lector se familiarice con los asuntos claves de la tenencia de la tierra, especialmente cuando dichos asuntos se relacionan con la inseguridad alimentaria y con el desarrollo rural. Muchas veces las cuestiones de tenecia de la tierra son ignoradas en las intervenciones de desarrollo rural, y ello suele tener efectos duraderos muy negativos.

The aim of Phase 2 is to select the most promising products and gather information for their further development, identifying potential markets and means of marketing. At the end of this phase, interest groups will be formed to further develop each of the selected products, and a team will be formed to undertake Phase 3.

This Issue of Nature & Faune puts forward the case of “African Youth in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development”. It comprises twenty one articles from authors of various backgrounds, including: policy makers, conservation NGOs; the private sector; civil society groups; research and academia as well as youth groups.

Qatar joined FAO in 1971. Over the years, FAO assistance has aimed to improve the country’s management and conservation of natural resources, including technological and institutional development to enable sustainable increases in agricultural and fisheries productivity. The production of safe and nutritious food, together with support to rural livelihoods have also been key features of cooperation.

La FAO opera en el Perú desde 1956, apoyando al país en la erradicación del hambre y la malnutrición, la eliminación de la pobreza, el establecimiento de sistemas agroalimentarios inclusivos y el respaldo de una utilización sostenible de los recursos naturales. Más recientemente, las líneas de acción se han centrado en el apoyo institucional a la alimentación escolar y agricultura familiar, la implementación de mecanismos de adaptación al cambio climático y el fomento de la Cooperación Sur-Sur.

The main goal of this project that FAO will propose in Afghanistan is to strengthen national capacity to facilitate monitoring, analysis and interpretation of agriculture and natural resources information combined with information generated from remote sensing for sustainable agricultural land use planning and management.
