Evidence On Demand

Evidence on Demand was a resource service providing high-quality information in the fields of climate, environment, infrastructure, and livelihoods. The information hub provided access to a broad range of documents, learning resources and technical expertise. One of the key functions of the service was to assist U.K. Department for International Development (DFID) advisers and the wider international development community in making informed, evidence-based decisions. The expert team behind Evidence on Demand was co-led with IMC Worldwide Ltd in a joint venture.

 

Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International

CABI

CABI (Centre for Agriculture and Biosciences International) is an international not-for-profit organization that improves people’s lives worldwide by providing information and applying scientific expertise to solve problems in agriculture and the environment.



Our approach involves putting information, skills and tools into people's hands. CABI's 48 member countries guide and influence our work which is delivered by scientific staff based in our global network of centres.

Center for Development Research - University of Bonn

ZEF

The Center for Development Research (ZEF) is an institute of the University of Bonn, Germany. It started its research activities in 1997. ZEF's researchers aim to find science-based solutions to development-related issues. ZEF’s research departments on Economic and Technological Change, Political and Cultural Change, and  Ecology and Natural Resources Management conduct inter- and trans-disciplinary research in, for and with emerging economies and on global issues with its collaborating research partners around the world.

CLAES

CLAES (Centro Latino Americano de Ecología Social) es una organización no gubernamental independiente, dedicada a la investigación, acción y promoción de la ecología social. Reconociendo una vinculación recíproca entre grupos humanos con su entorno ambiental, en un contexto histórico, se consideran problemas socioambientales, vinculándose la investigación con la acción, desde un compromiso ético con la defensa de la vida y la promoción de alternativas al desarrollo. CLAES fue fundado en 1989, su sede se encuentra en Montevideo (Uruguay).

The international journal Rural 21 has dedicated more than 40 years to all topics surrounding rural development. Its ambition is to further those strategies and policies that strengthen rural areas of developing and newly industrialising countries and encourage their implementation. The journal addresses the complete range of relevant themes – from agriculture and fisheries via capacity building and education through to health and social security, energy supply and trade.

Save Cambodia's Wildlife

SCW

Save Cambodia's Wildlife (SCW) was established and registered with the Ministry of Interior in July 29, 2002. SCW was initially based in Takeo Province and activities in the first few years included the provision of technical support to Phnom Tamao Rescue Centre, and increasing environmental awareness both within the wildlife rescue centre and with the general public.

Bioversity International is a global research-for-development organization. We have a vision – that agricultural biodiversity nourishes people and sustains the planet.

We deliver scientific evidence, management practices and policy options to use and safeguard agricultural and tree biodiversity to attain sustainable global food and nutrition security.

We work with partners in low-income countries in different regions where agricultural and tree biodiversity can contribute to improved nutrition, resilience, productivity and climate change adaptation.
