GLF

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) is a multi-stakeholder platform with a global secretariat led by CIFOR and core funding provided by the Government of Germany. The GLF accelerates action towards the creation of productive, prosperous, equitable and climate-resilient landscapes and the achievement of the UNFCCC Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030).

AFR100

AFR100 (the African Forest Landscape Restoration Initiative) is a country-led effort to bring 100 million hectares of land in Africa into restoration by 2030. It aims to accelerate restoration to enhance food security, increase climate change resilience and mitigation, and combat rural poverty. 

OroVerde – The Tropical Forest Foundation

Founded in Germany by individuals from business and the natural sciences in 1989, OroVerde (“Green Gold”) is a non-profit foundation that initiates, supports, and promotes projects that conserve tropical forests. Though headquartered in Bonn, Germany, OroVerde works on projects in Indonesia and many countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, including Guatemala, Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador, Dominican Republic and Cuba.

World Meteorological Organization

The World Meteorological Organization is an intergovernmental organization with a membership of 193 Member States and Territories. Its current Secretary-General is Petteri Taalas and the President of the World Meteorological Congress, its supreme body, is David Grimes.

Landscape Finance Lab

LFL

Established in April 2016, the Lab is incubating a portfolio of landscape programs.  We are focused exclusively on programs covering over a million hectares, million tonnes of traded goods, million tonnes greenhouse gases, and $100 million investment size.


Our purpose is to:


  Enable high quality landscape programs in global biodiversity priority places – using jurisdictional REDD+, land degradation neutrality, catchment management and landscape sourcing approaches.


 


Society for Ecological Restoration

Incorporated in 1988, the Society for Ecological Restoration is a global community of restoration professionals that includes researchers, practitioners, decision-makers, and community leaders from Africa, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Europe, and the Americas. SER members are actively engaged in the ecologically sensitive repair and recovery of degraded ecosystems utilizing a broad array of experiences, knowledge sets, and cultural perspectives.

Têm por objetivo divulgar artigos inéditos produzidos por pesquisadores e docentes que atuam na área de Climatologia, Geografia, Meteorologia, Ecologia, Agronomia, Engenharia, Arquitetura e demais áreas correlatas. Além da pretensão de ser um veículo de conhecimento e informação, propõe-se a estimular a produção científica dos estudiosos da climatologia e divulgar o estado da arte deste campo do conhecimento.

CCCND trabaja junto con las comunidades Ch’orti en la región Nor-oriental de Guatemala. La organización provee apoyo legal y visibilidad a estas comunidades que enfrentan amenazas y violaciones a sus derechos humanos dada la implementación de proyectos hidroeléctricos y mineria en sus territorios.  Su trabajo a contribuido en la recuperación de identidad y gobernanza del territorio chòrti,  así como en la múltiples propuestas para desarrollo de política pública para el acceso a la tierra y la administración del territorio del pueblo Ch òrti`.
