Sierra Leona

La tierra es una fuente esencial de sustento para la mayoría de los sierraleoneses. La mayor parte de la población de Sierra Leona vive en zonas rurales y su PIB se basa en gran medida en la agricultura. Las tres principales actividades de subsistencia encuestadas en el censo de población y vivienda de 2015 son la agricultura, la ganadería y la pesca, que dependen en gran medida del acceso a la tierra y de su propiedad. Los pequeños propietarios cultivan principalmente arroz, yuca, cacao, café, anacardo, cacahuete, aceite de palma, verduras y otros árboles frutales.
