Serra Leoa

A terra é uma fonte essencial de sustento para a maioria dos serra-leoneses. A maioria da população de Serra Leoa vive em áreas rurais e seu PIB é amplamente baseado na agricultura . As três principais atividades de subsistência pesquisadas no censo populacional e habitacional de 2015 são agricultura, pecuária e pesca, que dependem em grande parte do acesso e da propriedade da terra. Os pequenos proprietários cultivam principalmente arroz, mandioca, cacau, café, caju, amendoim, óleo de palma, vegetais e outras árvores frutíferas.
