Sierra Leone

La terre est une source essentielle de moyens de subsistance pour une majorité de Sierra-Léonais. La majeure partie de la population de la Sierra Leone vit dans des zones rurales et son PIB est largement basé sur l’agriculture.  Les trois principales activités de subsistance étudiées dans le recensement de la population et du logement de 2015 sont l’agriculture, l’élevage et la pêche, qui dépendent en grande partie de l’accès et de la propriété des terres.  Les petits exploitants cultivent principalement du riz, du manioc, du cacao, du café, de la noix de cajou, de l’arachide, de l’huile de palme, des légumes et d’autres arbres fruitiers.  Learn more
