The present Regulation is made under the Planning Act. In particular, the Regulation set out minimum requirements with respect to the information that must be submitted with each land use planning application. The text consists of 14 sections and 1 Schedule.

This Planning Act sets out the ground rules for land use planning in Ontario and describes how land uses may be controlled, and who may control them.
The present Act provides for a framework to protect the integrity of the land titles system in Yukon, to secure interests of property owners, and provide new economic development options. Furthermore, the Act establishes a new mechanism for registering settlement land while safeguarding aboriginal rights and title. This will create new residential and commercial development opportunities. The Land Title Office shall keep pace with the volume and complexity of modern land dealings in Yukon and provide more accessible land titles information.

The purpose of these Measures is to strengthen the management of development projects supported by agricultural development funds, and improve the benefits of the funds. These Regulations implement provisions of the Planning (Hazardous Substances) Act 1990 which provide that the presence of or above the controlled quantity of a hazardous substance on, over or under land, requires hazardous substances consent.
Article 5 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Regional land-use planning schemes shall contain data on solid waste formation, recycling, treatment, management and disposal of solid domestic waste”.

This Regional Law sets forth the modalities of urban land-use planning at municipal and regional levels. The scope of this Regional Law shall be consideration of totality of social, economic, ecological and other factors with a view of ensuring sustainable development of territorial land-use planning. Basic land-use planning documentation shall include regional and municipal land-use planning schemes. Regional land-use planning schemes shall include mapping of territorial development plan.
