Biodiversity Preservation and Enhancement Program (PVB)

In the Massif de la Selle - located in the southeast of Haiti - is one of the last native forests of the country. Despite its status as a protected area, the preservation of the Pine Forest is threatened by the settlement around and in it of people in search of income. Thus, the project aims to strengthen the National Agency for Protected Areas of the Ministry of the Environment in its efforts to support the participatory management of the Protected Area by including local actors and by supporting the local population in the creation alternative income.
