Ms. Rita Sinha served as Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development and retired from the I.A.S. in July, 2010. Ms. Sinha has held several assignments both in the Central and State Governments in a career spanning almost 38 years. She serves as an Independent Director at Powerlinks Transmission Limited. She served as an Independent Director at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited from December 27, 2011 to December 27, 2014. Ms. Sinha holds an M.A. degree in Geography from Punjab University, Chandigarh. She also holds BA from Lucknow University, India
