Serwat
Ladd Serwat is a doctoral researcher in International Development at the University of Sussex, studying the gendered effects of land reform in Burundi. Before entering academia, Ladd spent 2 years working in the development sector in Burundi. His current research interests include the political economy of land reform, customary law, decentralisation and political conflict.
In addition to his research, Ladd works as the Central Africa Assistant Research Manager for the the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED), a disaggregated data collection, analysis, and crisis mapping project.
