This document analyzes the responsible governance of tenure of land and other natural resources in South East Asia. It exposes common, regional challenges and identifies ways forward in order to improve governance in land management and administration.

Land Tenure Working Paper 15. This publication brings to light the existing linkages between land tenure and the realization of the right to food. It points out that responsible governance of land requires the adoption of human rights-based approach in order to develop coherent and long term solutions to improve people’s livelihoods. The document presents the legal implications of the right to food at national level and provides a series of examples on the implementation of human rights principles and obligations into land tenure systems, policies, and institutional frameworks.

Land Tenure Working Paper 2. This document analyzes the implications for land tenure and land policy of climate change. It assesses the implications of ongoing anthropogenic climate change resulting from greenhouse gas emissions for land tenure and the role that land policy can play in climate change adaptation planning in the developing world.

This report describes how the introduction of transferable fishing (effort) or fish (catch) quotas has affected the capacity of the fleet prosecuting the target fishery for which the harvesting rights apply. Land and land reform cover a great range, both in terms of the geographical and development status of the countries considered, and of the variety of perspectives on the issues.
