The purpose of this Act is to establish the fundamental objectives and rules of regional development and land use planning, and to define the institutional system therefor. This Act shall apply to the implementation of regional development and land use planning duties on national and regional level, and the provisions of this Act shall apply to natural persons and legal entities, as well as unincorporated organizations participating in or affected by the above activities.

The Regulation is made under the Land Proclamation No. 58/1994. It sets out the procedure for the allocation and administration of land and applies to all types of urban and rural land. Land shall be allocated for tiesa, agricultural usufruct or leasehold, on the basis of a master plan. To ensure these rights, right holders shall be given an allocation certificate or lease agreement. To prevent allocation of land to holders with the sole aim of holding land idle, the size of land to be allocated shall be proportionate to the planned aim (art. 3(4)).

This Act consists of 15 Parts divided into 433 sections, and contains 12 Schedules. The overall purpose of this Act is to promote the sustainable management of natural and physical resources (sect.

This Regional Decree approves Decree-Law No. 186/90 (establishing that land use plannings must be regulated according to environmental impact assessment program). It consists of 6 articles approving provisions established by the aforementioned Decree-Law for the Autonomous Region of Madeira too and establishes competent regional authority for carrying out controls on such sector.

The Act provides for the establishment of a town planning board, which shall exercise the following functions: (a) to advise the Minister in matters relating to the preparation and carrying into effect of town planning schemes; (b) to encourage the study of town planning: (c) to advise and assist local authorities generally in connection with town planning schemes and the layout of new township.

This Act establishes that land selling plans must be submitted to Forestry Authorities. It consists of 3 articles amending article 1 of Decree-Law No. 58 of 10 December 1937 specifying that urban lands plannings must be submitted to Municipal Authorities.

This Interministerial Order establishes competent authorities for land use planning and colonization according to agricultural Reform. It specifies that the Brazilian Institute for Forestry Development IBDF and Special Secretary of Environment SEMA shall be the competent authorities for all matters relating to rural land purchase, in particular with agricultural purposes, land expropriation and colonization procedures, etc.

The Plan, consisting of 66 sections divided into ten Parts and completed by five Schedules, applies to all of the land within the area of Kiama.

This Decree-Law regulates land expropriation for public use purposes. It consists of 43 articles specifying land expropriation procedure and the requirements to be satisfied by lands in order to carry out this procedure. It also lists every different type of land to be expropriated for the aforementioned purposes, establishing their values and laying down legal procedures.

An Act to provide for the sustainable use of land and natural resources on it.The text of Part I consists of 18 sections divided into 7 Chapters: Purposes of the Act (I); Application sphere of the Act (II); Land use authorities in municipalities and counties (III); Protection of cultivation and arable land (IV); Partition of agricultural land (V); Expropriation and valuation (VI); Miscellaneous provisions (VII).Chapter IV provides for the protection of agricultural use of land and the protection of agricultural land against misuse by men.

In accordance with the division of the State into (a) Eastern and Central Division; and (b) Western Division, the Act makes provision for the administration and management of Crown land in the Eastern and Central Division of the State. Main object of this Act is to provide for: (a) a proper assessment and management of Crown land; (b) the development and conservation of Crown land; (c) the reservation or dedication of Crown land for public purposes; (d) the collection, recording and dissemination of information relevant to the above.
