Build database of the Research Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics collecting data on the extent of sale in agricultural land and its average market price in selected districts of Slovakia since 2001 was completed by data of the year 2014. A basis for the database building is formed by the data coming from the real sale and purchase agreements which are registered in the Land Register and were obtained by cooperation with the Research Institute of Geodesy and Cartography. The paper deals with the analysis and evaluation of land transactions in selected twelve districts of Slovakia in 2014. In 2014, most parcels as well as the largest area of agricultural land, among 12 monitored districts, was sold in the districts of Košice-surroundings and Rimavská Sobota. The average market price of agricultural land in 2014 had a value of 0.41 EUR.m-2 in selected twelve districts of Slovakia. The highest average market price of agricultural land was recorded in the districts of Žilina, Banská Bystrica and Prešov. For the first time, in 2014, there was published a sample of cadastral areas, where some selected indicators in the cadastral areas with completed land consolidation were compared to the cadastral areas with not completed land consolidation.
