This Law 49/2016 amends articles 5, 7, 14, 24, 26, 29 and 31 of Law 9693 of 2007.
This Law amends and supplements articles 17 and 18 of Law No. 9948 of 2008 dealing with the already-started land distribution procedures regulated by previous Laws No. 7501 of 1991 and No. 8312 of 1998 and provides local government structures with more time to finalize the documentation.

This Law amends Law No. 8318 on leasing the agricultural and forest lands. It consists of 3 articles re-defining land leasing conditions of the aforementioned areas and establishing requirements to be satisfied in order to obtain a leasing contract for agricultural or forest exploitation.
This Law amends and supplements articles 4 and 29 of law 9244 of 2004 with regard to the inspection tasks and rules of procedure and new monetary values of penalties issued in case of law infringements.

Law No. 14/2012 amends Article 2 of the Law No.9693 of 2007 regarding areas of pasture fund that re-enter the agricultural land fund. This inclusion maybe done only for areas newly planted with trees that are part of the long term national programs and policies.
