This Act makes provision with respect to assignment, appointment, lease, settlement and other assurance, and covenant of surrender, made by deed, on a sale, mortgage, demise or settlement of any property, or on any other dealing with or for any real and personal property.The Act, among other things, defines conditions of the contract of sale and provides for other matters relative to transfer of property including the definition of a conveyance of land and the power of a mortgagee to cut timber on mortgaged land, provides rules relative to mortgage deeds and defines powers of the Minister to dispose of Crown lands.
