Central Asian Survey is the only established peer reviewed, multi-disciplinary journal in the world concerned with the history, politics, cultures, religions, and economies of the Central Asian and Caucasian regions. Original articles, review essays, and book reviews published in Central Asian Survey reflect advances made by social sciences and humanities scholars who ground their research in: the former Soviet republics of Central Asia, the North Caucasus, and the South Caucasus; Chinese Xinjiang, Mongolia, Afghanistan, Iran, and Turkey, as relate to Central Asia.

Journal of Punjab University Historical Society (JPUHS) is an open access, peer-reviewed and refereed journal published by the Department of History and Pakistan Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. The main objective of JPUHS is to provide an intellectual platform for the national and international scholars and PUJHS aims to promote interdisciplinary studies in humanities and social science.

We aim to drive a shift away from business-as-usual by empowering national governments with the evidence-based rationale and policy tools they need to prioritise more compact, connected, clean urban development. In this way, the initiative helps catalyse and inform implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the New Urban Agenda, and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.

The Journal of Bhutan Studies (ISSN 1608-411X) is a twice-yearly publication of the Centre for Bhutan Studies, an autonomous research institute dedicated towards promoting research and scholarship on Bhutan. “Global change – local conflicts? Land conflicts in Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa in the context of interdependent transformation processes” (GLOCON) is a Junior Research Group working on the correlation between global change and local conflicts over land. The research project explores how global spatial-temporal transformation processes affect local land conflicts in sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. Its focus lies furthermore on the analysis of systematic similarities and differences between those regions.

The Made in China Journal is an open access quarterly on Chinese labour, civil society, and rights. In recent years, the Chinese labour movement has witnessed significant developments, not only with the occurrence of some of the largest strikes in decades but also the emergence of increasingly serious challenges for workers and activists. At the same time, the Chinese Communist Party has ramped up its efforts to reshape the landscape of civil society and stifle political and social activism.
